Metro U18 (1994-1996 born players): Are already in training with U21/Senior squads please contact Rob Kelly 0401 038 367 for training dates and times.

Kindly note that it has been the coaches and junior committee decision that there will be no formal trials for Metro squads this season. Instead it will be treated as pre season training with squad selections done over the training period. All players will train in their respective age groups and it will be the coaches decision whether a player will ‘play up’ in a higher age group. For example if you are 2000 born, you must initially train with the U12 Metro squad.

Congratulations Elizabeth & Jess

Congratulations to North Geelong’s Elizabeth Sarcevic and Jess Kenyon who represented Victoria in the Girls FFA National Futsal Championships in Canberra on 9-13 January 2012.

Elizabeth’s U14 girls team defeated NSW Lightning 4-2 in the grand final creating history in being the very first Female Australian Futsal Champions for Victoria. Elizabeth also took out the MVP of the finals award for her fantastic goal keeping work.

Jess’s U13 girls team made it to the grand final but were extremely unlucky getting defeated by NSW Thunder 0-1.

Well done girls!
