Dunn becomes newest Heart stopper

RISING North Geelong goalkeeping star Tom Dunn has signed a youth team contract with A-League side Melbourne Heart.
The talented 20-year-old will play under Socceroo legend John Aloisi and travel Australia in the A-League’s youth competition.
Dunn said he was excited to have signed for the Heart.
“It’s really good. I have had a few sessions with their keeping coach,” Dunn said.
“Hopefully I can continue learning.”
The Torquay shot stopper will be eligible to play for the senior Heart team if regulars Clint Bolton or Nikola Roganovic get injured.
“Its always an exciting prospect to know you are one or two spots away from the highest level in Australia,” he said.
“The season starts in mid-October. I will my finish my season at North Geelong first.”
Dunn said he hoped playing for the Heart would be the building blocks for a successful career.
“Working with John is fantastic, he is a funny guy. Also with Clint Bolton, he has had such a successful career I am learning from some great players,” he said.
”I have done a few trials. I went to a few clubs over in the UK, so its a great experience.” Heart football operations manager John Didulica said he was excited by Dunn’s signing.
”He has done really well and impressed a lot of people,” Didulica said.
”He has trained with us for the best part of 12 months, so it gave our coaches a good look at him.
”It’s great to have another Geelong boy.”
