Optus is proud to support the next generation of Australian football stars through the Small Sided Football program, so we’re excited to announce the launch of the inaugural Optus Small Sided Football Awards.
The awards recognise and reward the achievements of players, supporters and coaches across the country.
Lucas Neill – Leadership Award
Skills on the pitch is one thing, but a signed jersey and training session with Lucas will be awarded to the player who’s always willing to learn new skills and helps other players to be their best.
Most Promising Player Award
For the player who understands that attitude is every bit as important as skill and respect for the ref is as vital as respect for the opposition. The chosen player gets a signed jersey, and a training session for them and their team.
The Optus Small Sided Football Team Award
A team that shows a love of the game and a good attitude whether they win or lose will be in the running to win $10,000 towards new equipment and training. The first 200 entries received will receive a Small Sided Football equipment pack.
Optus Small Sided Football Coach of the Year
For a coach that’s a natural motivator and someone who inspires their team to do the best they can, we have a training session for them and their team with a top team and their coach – an amazing opportunity.
