GRFC U12 Round 17, North Geelong 8 v 0 Barwon Blue
GRFC U13 Div 1 Round 17, Surf Coast 2 v 3 North Geelong The team had difficult ground conditions again to play on this Saturday at Connewarre Reserve. The ground was very damp in places together with 4 large puddles on the ground. This created a challenge for the team. They dominated for most of the game with many shots hitting the crossbar that could have easily resulted in goals. The team were ‘doing it easy’ with the score line at 3-0 mid way through the second half, but the team got a wake up call when Surf Coast scored a couple of goals in 5 minutes from a couple of defensive errors. The boys need to keep their discipline and concentrate on what their roles are in the team at all times. Hopefully a lesson learnt.
FFV U13C Round 17, Oak Park 0 v 10 North Geelong The team came into the match needing a convincing win over Oak Park as there is very little points and goal difference separating the top 3 teams on the ladder. As a result of the 10-0 win over Oak Park the team keeps it’s options open for a possible top spot on the ladder. This is dependant on how results go between the Sunshine George Cross and Westvale (1st v 3rd) game next Sunday. Well done to Rob and the team on the terrific result.
