ROUND 12 North Geelong Warriors vs Werribee

For the second week in a row North Geelong Warriors are in a 1st vs 2nd battle.  This Saturday, 27th June sees the North Geelong Warriors take on Werribee. 

Werribee were busy in the off season building a strong squad and were quick to let everyone know that they had the title in the bag and with players like Spiteri, Schwalger and Collins they should be considered favourites.  However the Warriors are sitting on top and have shown that they can do the job. 

They beat the consistently tight defence of Altona East last week 1 – 0, but there are still another 11 rounds to go and this match promises to be a beauty with top spot on offer for the winner.  The Warriors will have their hands full, but the confidence they have gained from the last two weeks should give them the strength to carry on with the job.

The reserves made it back to back with a 1 – 0 win over Altona East also and a win on Saturday could see them mid table. Come along and support the mighty Red, White and Blue.

Support our beautiful Miss North Geelong Contestants, Laura, Vesna, Mara, Nato and Emilia. They will be at our home games selling raffle tickets and promoting the Miss North Geelong Gala Night.  We’re proud of them and the effort they put in as they do their club and community proud.  Raffle tickets are just $2 each and there are some terrific prizes on offer..

Australian Croatian Association – Separation St, Bell Park.

OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS

Sunday 5th July – Sunday Club Lunch from 1pm onwards, 3 course home cooked lunch, too good to miss.

Saturday 18th July – Club Disco. After the home game vs Ballarat you can hang around for an entertaining night as we’ll have DJ Michael spinning the tracks. There will be a large mix of music from 80s, 90s, 00s as well as Croatian music. If you can’t make it to the game, then come along for the entertainment from 7.30pm onwards. Entry is free.

Please check the juniors page for school holiday trainng dates.  Some training has been cancelled.  The clubrooms will not be open on Friday 26/6 or the following Friday 3/7.
