ROUND 8 – North Geelong (0) vs Altona City (1)
Well it wasn’t the greatest week for the North Geelong Warriors senior teams, but we have to acknowledge the massive effort to date, with consecutive wins from all senior teams as well as our bright up and coming stars from the under 15 squads who we hope to see in a more prominent role in the next year or two.
The Seniors lost 1- 0 in what could best be described as an unlucky day out. Plenty of strikes on target that just couldn’t beat the keeper. Altona City received a penalty and converted a rare chance for them on the day. The reserves who have turned their fortunes around recently had a hard fought battle for a 2 -1 result. The women’s’ team went down 3 – 0 to Latrobe Uni and the Under 15’s beat their rivals down the Princes Highway in Werribee 5 – 0 well done boys.
