Hi to all parents and players.
The season has started off well and all juniors are playing well and achieving terrific results so far in season 2009. I thought it was time to touch base with you and give you an update of our current standing.
Under 11 FFV has won four out of their first five games in FFV West division which has been pleasing coach Eddie Kovacev. Four of these players, Michael Pinjuh, Adam Karpinski, Jared Svaljek and Ben Tucak have been selected to represent the Geelong Region in the upcoming country championships. We wish them all the best!!
After a sluggish start our Under 15 FFV West team have finally got their act together and putting together consecutive results. They face their derby game this week against the GRFA @ Elcho Park @ 1.15pm and the winner will go top of that division. Tam their coach has been impressed with their hard work ethic…. Well done boys!!
Currently our Under 12 GRFA side are on top of their division going into the last round of the grading competition. After Saturday clubs will be ranked and given a division to play in for the rest of the season. Rest assured coach Joe Madunic will not allow the players to get ahead of themselves. So far the squad’s work ethic and their ability to adapt to different game scenario have been fantastic to watch. Continue to work hard boys and girls!!
Charlie Pinjuh’s 15’s GRFA are having a crack and playing some reasonable football……. Keep working them Charlie!!
The SSF program has kicked off well with our Under 6’s/8’s and 10’s all competing and playing well. Thanks to Ivan, Jozo, Frank, Sime and the entire dad’s on match days for helping out.

Club specific information :
The club has noticed a series of incidents of unacceptable behaviour amongst both our parents and players alike. If you or your child fails to behave in a manner outlined in the clubs Code of Conduct you will be warned and then suspended from the club. Joe Zilic our club president is very strong on this issue.
